“Watching the Wheels”

The sweetest treasure I can think of is spending more time together. No matter what, it’s hard to shake the feeling that our time is limited. One of Danielle and I’s goals has always been to work together. Now that we have two beautiful boys to raise and spend time with it’s even more important to us. Starting this business is so much more than just a way to make some money. It means we can work together and spend more time together as a family. It means we can make art together as a family all the time.

Art means everything to us and we are so excited to start this project. The spontaneity of ice-dyeing has really captivated Danielle and I. She stays up late tying shirts in all kinds of crazy methodical twists. She wakes up early full of excitement to keep working on whatever project she has going. It makes me so happy to see Danielle find a medium to create that she is obsessed with. There are always shirts in tubs sprawled out on the table with ice and colors melting together. Our sinks and tub are constantly full of clothes being rinsed of dyes. Each piece comes out a surprise of colors and swirls and it’s really a fun process to watch. We like to see what images we can find within the random splotches of color on the finished pieces. We enjoy the freedom of using whatever random technique or inspiration we want when tying and dying a piece and allowing the cosmic forces to guide.

We can’t wait to share some art and cool clothes and jewelry with the world. This is just a big dream we dreamed one afternoon and we are putting our faith in it. Ever since having kids the wheels of life seem to be moving faster and faster. Cheers to enjoying the ride and spending time with loved ones. Love y’all.
